Services
Experience at your table. Without a full-time appointment.
Personal, senior-level consultancy tailored to the realities of owner-managed and family businesses.
Every engagement starts with a conversation about your priorities, not a standard package. RGD Consulting offers retained, monthly and day-rate engagements, agreed individually.
Director-level consultancy
Part-time or interim senior support at board level. Roger works alongside the owner and management, offering an experienced second pair of hands for major decisions, business governance and day-to-day leadership challenges.
Support can range from a few hours each week to a substantial retained role, allowing businesses to draw on senior experience without adding a permanent director.
Business structure and performance
A practical commercial perspective on how a business is organised and performing. The focus is on giving owners a clearer understanding of costs, cash, structure and priorities.
This is business management and commercial consultancy, not regulated accountancy, audit or investment advice.
Market studies and business development
Research into a new market, location or commercial opportunity before funds and resources are committed. Analysis is tailored to the specific decision rather than presented as a generic report.
RGD Consulting also supports business development, introductions between suitable parties and negotiation of important commercial contracts.
Cross-sector insight
Real-world business experience covering engineering and hydraulics, beauty and consumer retail, premium and heritage brands, and healthcare.
Experience across different sectors can offer valuable comparisons, while advice remains grounded in the realities of the individual business.
Case study
From financial challenge to a multimillion-pound business.
Bell Hydraulics, an engineering business in South Wales, engaged RGD Consulting in 2020 while facing serious financial challenges, in part due to Covid.
Roger reorganised the shareholding, restructured the finances and joined the board, giving the company clear structure and purpose. Six years on, Bell Hydraulics is a multimillion-pound business.
“In 2020, partly due to Covid, we were facing serious financial challenges. Roger restructured our finances and shareholding and, from the board, gave us the structure and direction we needed. Six years on, we are a multimillion-pound business.”
